Welcome
To all who come to this happy place, welcome. -- Walt Disney
July 17th, 1955-- "Black Sunday" was Disneyland's first official day of operation.
It was seen as a disaster in many regards by the press and the initial visitors.
Rides broke down very quickly, the asphault was still soft, cast-member only doors
were left unlocked, and entire lands had to be closed. But Walt didn't give up on
his dream, and it goes without saying that today his resort (and those that followed
it) are among the top tourist destinations in the world.
Disneyland hosts thousands and thousands of guests every single day, and no doubt
a great percentage of the guests wonder just how Walt and his Imagineers pull off
the magic. This site is dedicated to the little pieces of trivia and knowledge gathered
over the years involving the parks and all other portions of Disney.
Site is coming soon!
